What it means

The clip begins with an iPhone home screen full of gambling and sportsbook apps, then deletes several of them. It abruptly cuts to Luigi in a casino-themed card game on a Nintendo DS, betting coins and playing blackjack-like cards, turning the attempt to quit gambling into an even more colorful form of gambling. The escalating joke works as a reaction to replacing sports betting with video-game casino behavior. The audio uses “Mushroom Cloud” by MUSHROOM KINGDOM, an energetic electronic/video-game-style track whose upbeat momentum makes the transition and relapse gag feel more dramatic and absurd.
