Canadian Parliament Applauds Mecha Hitler

Text on the meme

Canadian Parliament Gives Standing Ovation To Mecha Hitler For Role In Fighting Russians

What it means

A digitally edited image shows Justin Trudeau and members of the Canadian Parliament giving a standing ovation while a giant robot with Adolf Hitler’s face stands in the chamber. The joke satirizes a real controversy involving a former Nazi soldier being honored in Canada and exaggerates it into a “Mecha Hitler” fighting Russians. It is used as a dark political reaction meme about historical whitewashing, Canada, and anti-Russian rhetoric.
