Chinese Restaurant Christmas Thanks
The Chinese Rest. Assoc. of the United States would like to extend our thanks to The Jewish People we do not completely understand your dietary customs... But we are proud and grateful that your GOD insists you eat our food on Christmas Happy Holidays!
A handwritten sign from a Chinese restaurant thanks Jewish people for eating Chinese food on Christmas, jokingly treating Jewish dietary customs as divine instructions to eat Chinese cuisine during the holiday. The punchline is the cultural misunderstanding and the common Christmas tradition of Jewish families eating at Chinese restaurants.
