Temporarily Removed Facial Expression
This object has been temporarily removed as we revise its facial expression, which was deemed zoo-logically improbable and/or terrifying to small children.
A museum display sign explains that an object has been temporarily removed because its facial expression is zoologically improbable and frightening to children. The joke comes from treating an absurd or unsettling exhibit as if it were undergoing official maintenance, making this useful as a reaction to something weird, uncanny, or disturbing.
