A hand-drawn chart humorously assigns increasingly absurd uses to different types of scopes, including microscopes, telescopes, periscopes, stethoscopes, kaleidoscopes, gyroscopes, horoscopes, electron scopes, and radio scopes. The punchline comes from treating every instrument as if it belonged to the same technical classification, escalating from plausible functions to bizarre pseudo-definitions and surreal scenarios. It is shared as a reaction to overcomplicated explanations, arbitrary categorization, or confidently making up the purpose of something.
