What it means

A man gradually applies increasingly colorful clown makeup beside logos for World of Warcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and Diablo Immortal. Each caption repeats optimistic excuses about upcoming games or updates, while the clown transformation implies that trusting these promises is foolish. The meme is used to mock fan expectations and repeated disappointment from game developers.
