A blurry purple-tinted video follows a person walking and turning on a suburban sidewalk while a series of news-style headlines about former FBI and CIA agents working for Silicon Valley, Facebook, and Twitter appear over the footage. The repeated warning “Be careful out there frens” becomes increasingly absurd as the headlines escalate into a conspiracy-flavored joke about government surveillance and social-media control. Tame Impala’s psychedelic indie rock song “The Less I Know the Better” plays underneath, giving the clip a dreamy, detached mood that makes the alarming headlines feel knowingly ironic.
