Khamenei and Assad Arrive in Moscow

Text on the meme

Khamenei with Assad after arriving to Moscow

What it means

A small puppy and a yellow duckling walk, run, and explore a rural wooded landscape together, with the puppy repeatedly following or accompanying the duck. The caption jokingly portrays Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad as helplessly wandering animals after arriving in Moscow. The cute footage becomes an absurd political reaction meme, amplified by the dreamy, melancholic electronic music “Waiting for You” by Dan Mason ダン·メイソン.
