All Star Shrek 1 Need a Hero Shrek 2

What it means

A dramatic wartime painting shows two uniformed military figures leaping through a battlefield, edited with references to Shrek songs and films. “All Star” labels Shrek 1, while “Holding Out for a Hero” labels Shrek 2, turning the heroic military scene into an absurd comparison of the two movies. It is used as a nostalgic or ironic reaction to debate which Shrek film is better.
