Cat Replaces the MGM Lion
Metro Goldwyn Mayer TRADE MARK ARS GRATIA ARTIS MADE IN CHINA
A white cat appears inside a cardboard box decorated like the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer logo, replacing the famous roaring lion in both panels. The joke is the absurdly unimpressive “MGM” mascot and the “Made in China” packaging, making it a reaction to a cheap or hilariously low-budget imitation.
