EN: The camera sweeps over a snowy woodland pond as a branch falls onto the thin ice and breaks through it, scattering ice fragments and water. The Smashing Pumpkins’ alternative rock song “Today” plays in the background; its melancholic mood heightens the absurd contrast between the dramatic atmosphere and the sudden crack of the branch. People share this clip as a reaction to an unexpected failure, ruined plans, or an emphatic “well, that’s it.”
