Hideo Kojima Makes It Weird
Game Game, Created and Directed by Hideo Kojima
A two-panel reaction meme contrasts a normal-looking apocalyptic video game with an absurd, surreal game featuring a giant creature and a horse. The joke is that games directed by Hideo Kojima often become bizarre and dramatically unconventional, so simply adding his name makes the concept much stranger. It is used to jokingly describe an ordinary idea that becomes surreal or overcomplicated under Kojima’s direction.
