Parliamentarian Hears Bronze Age Music

Text on the meme

European parliamentarian got emotional listening to real bronze age music

What it means

A stern-looking female parliamentarian holds up a phone playing Peter Pringle’s “The Epic of Gilgamesh in Sumerian” while listening at a lectern. As the ancient-sounding world/folk music continues, her expression shifts from serious to amused and emotional, until she covers her mouth as if overwhelmed by the absurdly moving “Bronze Age” song. The joke is a reaction to unexpectedly powerful or hilariously niche music, with the solemn parliamentary setting making the ancient Sumerian performance even funnier.
