Aura of russian cinema:

What it means

A fast-cut montage presents gritty, surreal and melodramatic scenes associated with Russian cinema: a motorcycle passing a grimy building, a person kneeling in snowy darkness, a small plane in a grand city square, chaotic dancing, an armed street confrontation, a flare in fog, and a red-lit interior. The exaggerated cinematic intensity becomes the joke, while ABBA’s dramatic disco-pop song “Lay All Your Love On Me” creates a glamorous, ironic contrast with the bleak and absurd imagery.
