Science Looks a Little Weird

cc: well i've got a microscope, cc: and now we're gonna just melt some of it down cc: I've got plastic wrap overboth of my hands so no cross contamination cc: sometimes science looks a little weird, but cc: now we just gotta load her up cc: it's definitely something...

EN: A young woman in a gray beanie conducts a homemade science experiment: she melts a piece of plastic, protects her hands with plastic wrap, places the sample in a bowl, and examines it under a microscope. At the end, the microscope reveals a strange sample that looks like microbes or mold. The joke comes from presenting an obviously dubious experiment with total seriousness and ending with “it’s definitely something,” making the clip useful as an absurd reaction to a suspicious or confusing situation. The audio is dominated by spoken narration and handling noises, with a clinical, investigative feel that heightens the comedy.
