JASMIN GABRIEL-GALBAN LIVE DAGUPAN, PANGASINAN
EN: An edit of a Filipino news broadcast where the anchor and reporter look as if they are announcing tragic news, while a crying Isabelle from Animal Crossing is overlaid on the screen. A red arrow points at the character, turning an ordinary news broadcast into an absurd grief reaction. Aphex Twin’s “QKThr” plays in the background; its gentle, mournful ambient music heightens the drama, while the oinking sound makes the joke even more ridiculous. The clip is used as a reaction to crushing disappointment or fake tragedy.
