She Said I Was the Bad Guy
>gf had a body count of 5 when we started dating. >I made it clear I’d never marry her (didn’t ever blame her body count directly, just gave the excuse that I’m “against marriage.”) >“I’ll change your mind anon, you will see.” >2 years later, she’s fuming because I still won’t propose, and she threatens to break up with me. >so I break up with her instead >then she does a 180, drops the marriage talk and pretends she’s the one giving me “another chance”, just to save face Like, what part of "I will never marry you" was unclear? delusion? entitlement? Or just pure female ego? At this point I don't know if I should let her waste her time with me so she can learn the lesson or make clear I wont take her back. I'm quite sure in any scenario she will end up telling others I'm the bad guy here.
A 4chan-style greentext post shows an anonymous man describing a relationship argument over marriage, his girlfriend’s previous sexual partners, and her refusal to accept that he will never propose. After he breaks up with her, she reframes the breakup as giving him “another chance” to preserve her pride. The joke is the narrator’s melodramatic, misogynistic self-justification and certainty that he will be portrayed as the villain.
