The Leviathan From the Deep

the leviathan from the deep

A black-and-white dog stares at the camera beside a bed as a small orange animal briefly emerges from beneath the blanket like a creature rising from the deep. The joke dramatically treats the ordinary pet as a terrifying sea monster, while Aphex Twin’s eerie ambient piece “#19” creates an ominous, absurd mood and makes the reveal feel grandiose. It works as a reaction to something unexpectedly emerging or appearing intimidating despite being harmless.
