Minion Answers 911 Calls

In 2021, The Minions became a topic fraught with controversy when it was discovered that dialling 911 with the game Microsoft Teams installed on your phone would play a voice clip of the siren minion from the movie instead of putting you through to an operator.

A tweet explains that phones with Microsoft Teams installed could play the Minion siren voice clip when someone dialled 911 instead of connecting them to an operator. The joke comes from the absurd and alarming idea of a cheerful Minion answering an emergency call, paired with images of Minions and a megaphone.
