StarCraft Tournament Prize Structure
A friend just sent me this ten-year-old prize structure for a Starcraft tournament, and I can't stop laughing. Prizes: 1st Place: $500 2nd Place: $250 3rd Place: $150 4th Place: $100 5th-8th Place: 25 BitCoins
A screenshot of a social media post shows an old StarCraft tournament prize structure. The joke is that the top four players receive modest cash prizes, while 5th–8th place receive 25 Bitcoin, which would be enormously valuable today. It is shared as an ironic reaction to the absurdly lucky prize for finishing outside the top spots.
