HOO LEE

EN: The frames turn the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas protagonist into a typical resident of a harsh Russian winter: he sits at home with snacks and vodka, rides a bus, works in a factory, drives an old car, ice-fishes, and grills shashlik. The clip uses Michael Hunter’s “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Official Theme Song),” a dark hip-hop instrumental with a tense, nostalgic mood; the music heightens the absurd joke that the protagonist has ended up in the Russian countryside “again.”
