I have a friend that insisted on dressing up like a clown for his family pic back when he was like 8 and it's my favorite picture ever why is he sitting like a 14th century monarch he is one

A family poses for a photograph while a child dressed as a clown sits in front with an unusually formal, regal posture. The joke compares his pose to that of a 14th-century monarch, followed by the deadpan reply that he is one. This meme is used as a reaction to someone behaving with absurd royal seriousness.
