Dostoevsky Names His Worst Character

Text on the meme

Fyodor Dostoevsky naming his worst character Fyodor Jane austen naming her prettiest and smartest character Jane

What it means

A masked horror character stands beside an anime-style girl in a pink Sanrio-themed room. The joke contrasts Fyodor Dostoevsky naming his worst character Fyodor with Jane Austen naming her prettiest and smartest character Jane, humorously reducing the authors’ character naming choices to their own first names. It is used as a literary-reference reaction to jokes about authors self-inserting or naming characters after themselves.
