Big Boss Welcomes Diamond Dogs

Text on the meme

Big Boss I’m Big Boss Diamond Dog Thanks for letting me join Diamond Dogs boss! Somos Diamond Dogs.

What it means

A fake social-media comment exchange shows Big Boss announcing himself, followed by Diamond Dog thanking him for joining the Diamond Dogs. The clip then cuts to Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid standing dramatically with his squad as Joan Baez’s mournful protest-folk song “Here’s to You” plays, turning an ordinary gaming reference into an absurdly solemn initiation scene. It works as a reaction to proudly joining a group or entering a situation with exaggerated gravitas.
