Missiles Homing Off

Missiles (Homing Off)

A fighter jet flies low over an airfield while a missile or projectile trails directly behind it, with the caption “Missiles (Homing Off).” The joke is that the missile is comically failing to home in and simply follows the aircraft’s path, making it useful as an absurd reaction to something malfunctioning or missing its target. The audio is dominated by vehicle or jet-engine noise, adding speed and dramatic tension to the gag.
