A Mother’s Sacrifice in the Flood

Text on the meme

POV: A mother’s sacrifice "we're scared, mom" "Mom, are we going to d*e?" "there seems to be no other way" "quickly!"

What it means

A mother cat and her kittens sit on a small platform surrounded by floodwater while the kittens panic. The mother appears to sacrifice herself by swimming into the water, but the clip then reveals a happy rescue montage in which people save and dry the cats. The joke uses exaggerated melodrama and a fake tragic setup before switching to a wholesome happy ending.
