Joan of Arc Feminist Misread

• Catholic • Nationalist • Against prostitution • Against abortion • Supported Chastity • Virgin • Supported patriarchy • Monarchist St. Joan of Arc Joan of Arc is a girl boss feminist just like me MY BODY MY CHOICE

The meme contrasts Joan of Arc’s historical Catholic, monarchist, nationalist, anti-prostitution, anti-abortion, chaste, virgin, and patriarchal views with a modern cartoon feminist claiming that Joan is just like her. The joke is about projecting contemporary political beliefs onto a historical figure based only on her being a strong woman, and it is used to mock simplistic or inaccurate feminist interpretations of historical icons.
