Family History in Verdun

Text on the meme

i'm french and 5 peoples of my family was killed on Verdun i'm german and my great grandpa killed 5 people in verdun.

What it means

A first-person World War I battlefield game is shown above two comments about French and German family members connected to the Battle of Verdun. The joke is the ironic contrast between personal family history on opposite sides of the battle, used as a dark historical reaction meme.
