I Consider Myself a Centrist

"Yeah, I consider myself to be a centrist" The Left Opposition The Centre The Right Opposition

A three-panel video-game-style political screen shows portraits labeled “The Left Opposition,” “The Centre,” and “The Right Opposition” beneath the caption “Yeah, I consider myself to be a centrist.” The joke is that the supposed centrist position is surrounded by opposing ideological factions, making the speaker’s claim absurdly vague or politically suspicious. It is used as a reaction to someone who claims to be moderate while holding an extreme or factional position.
