Parler Needs Supercomputer Hardware
5) Hosting Thank you for your offer to assist Parler with server hosting capabilities. Below are some specifications which may be helpful in determining if our partnership can be a successful one. A quick rundown: 40x i3.Metal instances (64 vCPU’s, 512Gb ram (More ram, is of course, better for these)) – 14Tb NVME’s e/a (Scylla Cluster) 70-100x (96 vCPU’s, 768Gb RAM) – 4 Tb NVME’s e/a (PSQL Cluster, could use more ram and CPU, but not easy to get.) 300-400 various other instances, less picky, generally 8-16 cores w/ 32-64Gb of ram as available. Internal traffic is ~300-400Gb of traffic/minute External traffic is ~100-120Gb of traffic/minute Should you be able to provide infrastructure that is compatible with Parler’s needs, please let
A photographed computer screen shows a formal hosting specification for Parler, listing dozens of powerful server instances, terabytes of NVMe storage, and enormous internal and external traffic volumes. The joke is that a social-media platform is portrayed as requiring absurdly massive infrastructure, making it seem comically inefficient and overpowered. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to criticize Parler’s technical demands or poor engineering.
