Black Metal Church Procession
BLACK METAL
A group of Christian clergy stands on a lawn with a large wooden cross. As the cross is moved, the ordinary outdoor church scene abruptly becomes a stark black-and-white image labeled “BLACK METAL,” turning a solemn religious procession into a parody of extreme metal imagery. Dissection’s “Where Dead Angels Lie” intensifies the joke with its bleak, atmospheric black metal sound, making the clergy look like a dramatic metal band or album cover.
