Volker Bertelmann — «All Quiet on the Western Front», EN: The video is filmed from a first-person view during a fast pit-bike ride through bleak, damaged terrain with debris, mud, and trees; by the end, the frame is almost completely dark. Ominous cinematic neoclassical music by Volker Bertelmann, “All Quiet on the Western Front,” creates an intentionally epic and frightening contrast with the teenage ride. The joke is that ordinary 14-year-olds riding pit bikes look like a scene from a war film, as if they really know something is coming.
