Technology Gave the Mummy a Voice
remember when technology gave us the mummy’s voice
A television news clip shows a wrapped Egyptian mummy being examined in an MRI scanner, with scans of its throat and a reconstruction of its vocal tract. The footage then shows a small model and the mummy itself, jokingly suggesting that modern technology has recreated the mummy’s voice. It works as an absurd reaction to unexpectedly advanced technology or ancient things being brought back to life.
Scientists were able to mimic Nessie Amun's voice by recreating his mouth and vocal cords with a 3D printer. It allowed them to produce a single sound.
