Fallout 2 Red Button Revelation
I never played Fallout 2 for years because the main menu buttons never worked. I assumed it was due to the age of the game and my PC, only to find out ten minutes ago that I had to press the red button. I may not be ready for this game. INFO NEW GAME LOAD GAME OPTIONS CREDITS EXIT
A Fallout 2 main menu shows a sinister masked character beside the menu buttons. The joke is that the player spent years thinking the buttons were broken, only to discover that the small red button beside each option had to be pressed; the absurd realization is used as a reaction to being unprepared for an obvious or intimidating challenge.
