Armor Survives Waterloo, Barely
WATERLOO 18 JUN 1815
A battered historical cuirass marked “WATERLOO 18 JUN 1815” is placed over a badly shredded modern protective vest. The joke comes from the absurd contrast: the centuries-old armor appears to have survived better than the newer gear, making it a reaction image for something unexpectedly durable or resilient.
