This Is an American Joke

This is an American joke. I see.

An anime-style classroom scene cuts from a girl poking near her eye to the back of a student’s head, where a chalk drawing resembles horns and a halo. The caption says, “This is an American joke,” followed by “I see,” creating an absurd non sequitur that works as a reaction to humor that makes no sense. Repetitive knocking or chopping-like sounds emphasize the awkward visual gag and its deadpan timing.
