when I’m in a loser competition and my opponent is me in love
A person sits indoors with their hands behind their head, looking defeated. The joke is self-deprecating: even in a competition for being a loser, the speaker loses to their own version when they are in love. It is used as a reaction to romantic embarrassment or feeling especially pathetic while infatuated.
