Linus Torvalds vs ChatGPT Setup

Setup of Linus Torvalds creator of Linux My Setup for writing emails with ChatGPT

The clip contrasts Linus Torvalds’s simple setup—a basic monitor on a small desk—with an elaborate, stylish multi-monitor home office presented as a setup for writing emails with ChatGPT. The joke exaggerates how dramatically overbuilt and luxurious the ChatGPT workspace is compared with the famously modest Linux creator’s setup. Gia Margaret’s “Hinoki Wood,” with its gentle melancholic indie-pop atmosphere, makes the comparison feel cinematic and ironically grand, heightening the punchline as the office becomes increasingly extravagant.
