Internet of Toilets

Text on the meme

This bathroom collects anonymous usage data. If you do not agree to this data collection, please use one of the other bathrooms. Diese Toilette erhebt anonymisierte Nutzungsstatistiken. Falls Sie der Datenerhebung nicht zustimmen, verwenden Sie bitte eine der anderen Toiletten. ♥ IOT IOT ®

What it means

A bathroom notice says that the toilet collects anonymous usage statistics and directs people to another bathroom if they disagree. Below it, a heart-over-“IOT” logo turns the Internet of Things into the absurd “Internet of Toilets” joke, making fun of invasive data collection in everyday devices. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to smart technology and privacy concerns.
