Margaret Trudeau's Unforgettable Montage

Text on the meme

MARGARET TRUDEAU

What it means

A vintage television clip introduces Margaret Trudeau, then rapidly cuts through archival images of her with Pierre Trudeau, including affectionate moments, public appearances, and Pierre Trudeau's funeral. Set to Kendrick Lamar & Baby Keem’s “The Hillbillies,” the upbeat, stylish hip-hop track creates an ironic contrast with the melodramatic archival footage and turns the montage into an absurd reaction meme.

Speech

What are the happy memories, the ones where you transcended the protocol, where it didn't make any difference? Would Cuba be one with Castro? Oh yeah, we had a lovely time in Cuba. Let's talk about some of the people that you had your paths crossed with. Oh, what a charmer, and you know why he's in power. He has got charisma coming out his ears.
