Baby Plays Along to Nirvana

Text on the meme

HAPPY

What it means

A baby sits on a couch, sucking and chewing on a bright red toy while flames repeatedly engulf the scene. An inset photo of Kurt Cobain playing guitar and a white arrow connect the baby to Nirvana, making the innocent baby look like an intense grunge musician. The absurd contrast is set to Nirvana’s “Come As You Are,” whose moody alternative-rock atmosphere makes the harmless toy play feel dramatically ominous.
