Pet the Cat When You Get Home

Text on the meme

POV: That thing you really want to do when you get home

What it means

A person walks through rainy, nearly empty city streets with an outstretched hand, then the video cuts to them gently scratching a sleepy gray tabby cat under the chin. The joke is that the thing they are eagerly rushing home to do is not something dramatic, but simply petting their cat; the romantic, orchestral soul music "Love's Theme (Alternate Version)" by The Love Unlimited Orchestra makes the ordinary cat affection feel grand and cinematic.
