Something Will Not Happen
“Something will happen...” “Ouch! that really hurts stop!” “Something will not...”
A split-panel comic shows a stern human-like figure on the left and a crying sunflower-headed character on the right. The captions first predict that something will happen, then show pain, and finally reverse the prediction with “Something will not...” The joke is an absurd reaction to failed expectations or a situation that hurts so much that the expected outcome is abandoned.
