Whenever I play dark souls 3 I never ember before a boss. I treat embering like it’s MY second phase and I’m the boss fight. So when I’m half out of estus, I’ll go ember mode and play more aggressive. It’s especially cool when you are against a lord of cinder and they ember at the same time as you. I’ll even mutter things to myself like “impressive, but can you face this ash alighteth?” Or “hmph enough playing, let’s finish this”
