Medieval Mace Found in Romania

Text on the meme

Is this a medieval mace? I smashed it against some stones and trees and it weighs quite a lot, it even has a small piece on the bottom that I think is the remains of a hand guard (Found in Romania)

What it means

A person holds a heavy, dark, club-shaped object found on the forest floor in Romania. They wonder whether it is a medieval mace, jokingly interpreting its weight and a small protrusion as evidence of a hand guard. The meme is used as an absurd reaction to finding an ordinary object that resembles an ancient weapon.
