SUPER GAY POEMS LGBTQIA+ Poetry after Stonewall STEPHANIE BURT THE GAY GUY LOVE ME TENDER ANDREA LONG CHU Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Criticism

What it means

A bookstore window displays two prominently placed books titled “SUPER GAY POEMS” and “THE GAY GUY,” creating an amusingly direct visual pairing. The joke is the accidental-seeming combination of the titles, which reads like an exaggerated declaration of gayness and works as a reaction to finding unusually on-the-nose LGBTQ+ books.
