More Than One Year Remaining

“Is your game done downloading yet?” what I’m about to tell bro: 3.8 MB/s PEAK 6.1 GB TOTAL 2 B/s DISK USAGE > 1 YEAR REMAINING 5.6 GB / 6.7 GB 8.1 GB / 9.5 GB

A download progress screen shows a game crawling along with more than one year remaining, despite several gigabytes already downloaded. The captions frame this absurdly long wait as the devastating answer to someone asking whether the game is finished, while the slowed, melancholic music makes the delay feel dramatically tragic. The audio is loramentine’s “Join me in death x Subaru Natsuki (Slowed),” an atmospheric slowed anime edit track that heightens the joke’s exaggerated despair.
