A stack of Steam reviews all marks a game as “Not Recommended,” with users criticizing J.K. Rowling’s politics, supporting trans rights, and joking about British people appearing in the game. The punchline is the contradiction between strongly disapproving reviews and the reviewers spending many hours playing it, making it a reaction to enjoying a game despite ethical or political objections.
