Bankers Pledge Blood Oath
This pledge is a part of the 37th National Bank, the predecessor of the Shikoku Bank, in order to comply with the strict handling of bills, all 23 employees including the president of Miura signed and stamped the blood seal. If there is fraud in the transaction, it will be reimbursed with private money and vowed to seppuku. It conveys the weight of ethics and responsibility not only as a banker but also as a member of society, and is said to be the greatest treasure of Shikoku Bank.
A screenshot shows two historical-looking Japanese documents alongside text describing a bank pledge signed and sealed in blood by all 23 employees. The pledge says fraudulent transactions would be repaid with private money and followed by seppuku, making the joke an absurdly extreme example of workplace ethics and financial responsibility. It is used as a reaction to strict accountability, intense commitment, or an organization taking its rules far too seriously.
