The Two Kinds of Autistic People
The two kinds of Autistic people
An animated cat-like character sits in a car, cheerfully driving and moving along to Vanessa Carlton’s piano-pop song “A Thousand Miles,” while a grim skeleton-like passenger appears in the back seat. The joke contrasts a happy, energetic autistic stereotype with a darkly intense or morbid one, using the upbeat music to make the sudden skull reveal absurd and funny.
